Weekly
sermons form an essential part of the university life. These are aimed
at the moral development and spiritual enlightenment of the students.
The sermons are held on every Friday during the university hours.
Tutorial System
The
university provides counseling services under this program. Each student
is assigned a tutor by the Chief Tutor who looks after his welfare,
curricular and co curricular activities during the course of his stay in
the university. The main objective of introducing a tutorial system is
to channelize the pent-up mental potential of our students and to
discipline their daily life so that they may accept the various
challenges of the 21st century gallantly. Our efficacious tutorial
system will inculcate in our students the habit of freedom,
responsibility, fellow feeling and truthfulness. It would be our utmost
Endeavour that Islamia College helps produce a large number of falcons
of PAF, dedicated army / navy officers, engineers / doctors and scholars
of international repute. Tutorial meeting are held on Friday but the
tutor is otherwise available for such assistance any time. Character
certificate and all applications regarding leave, scholarships etc.,
should be routed through the tutor and the concerned hostel wardens. Any
type of application to the Vice Chancellor shall be routed through the
concerned tutor.
