DISCIPLINE

To maintain strict standard of discipline on the University campus, the Proctorial Board plays a major role. The Board is headed by a Chief Proctor and comprises of a number of teacher and student proctors. The main duty of the Proctorial Board is to maintain discipline on the university campus in official and social gatherings and wherever it is required. The students are expected to achieve a high standard of self discipline on the University campus. With regard to discipline the following rules are to be strictly observed.

1. Smoking is forbidden on the university campus.

2. No weapon of any kind is to be brought to the university as well as to the hostels.

3. Pasting of stickers, posters and writing of slogans on the walls and display of banners on the university campus is prohibited.

4. No student is allowed to disfigure or damage the university or private property on the campus.

5. Use and possession of narcotics on the university campus are strictly prohibited.

6. students are not allowed to leave the hostels during the night without permission.

7. keeping ID / chest card is compulsory. students will not be allowed to attend the class without chest card.

8. those who do not return University ID cards at the time of clearance will be fined Rs.100/-

9. Incase a duplicate university ID / chest card is required, the student will have to publicize the fact of loss of ID card in a newspaper. the duplicate ID / chest card will then be issued to him on a fine of Rs.100/-.

10. No student is allowed to publish any item / letter in the newspaper without prior approval of the authorities.
